ESTONIA VERSUS ENGLAND LIFE: CHRISTIAN REEVE

In this new episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing content creator Christian Reeve about his recent experience as an ex-pat in Estonia, and the culture shock of coming back home to London after his years away, a very fun chat that had us discussing acting among his many passions.

ESTONIA VERSUS ENGLAND LIFE DIFFERENCES:

Estonia is one of those places that you often hear being bandied around in the ex-pat and digital nomad world. Even though l knew it was a very popular destination, this was the first time l actually met someone who had lived and worked there, and not as a digital nomad, but as an employee of a brick and mortar company.

I was, therefore, eager to interview Christian and find out about life in Estonia (since l am always curious, or nosy… haha!) especially when compared to England, his home, and a destination that most people, including yours truly, would give an arm (maybe not a leg anymore) to live in.

It was so much fun chatting with David. He is a really cool, and nice young man. It’s obvious he has the right attitude for achieving success in the entertainment world. I can totally see him as a long-lost member of the Shelby family in Peaky Blinders :-). Can you see it? I also see him in an updated revival of The Office.

Life has been pretty trying for everyone since the beginning of the pandemic. In some ways, it was a good thing that he came home just before everything was shut down. In some other ways, I’m sure it kind of sucked as it impeded his job search and trying to get back into the swing of things.

Getting ready to take on the world with a smile.

The vaccination there is definitely much farther ahead than Spain, so l think it will be sooner than later that they can resume some sort of normal.

All in all, I think once things start opening up again in the U.K, he is bound to find something that suits him totally. In the meantime, he is making it all work with a positive attitude. Make sure to check out some of his acting shorts on YouTube.

How is everyone doing in their neck of the woods? Quite a lot of people are getting, or about to get their jabs while we wait for our turn here. I feel like a horse at the starting gate now. Stay safe everyone.

  1. Kemkem, I loved this podcast. David is a man of many talents and very charismatic. Hats off to him for trying a variety of things. Loved his honesty and not sugar coating things. I would love to visit Estonia, perhaps by motorhome when travelling opens up. Thank for this excellent podcast, I will be checking out his site.

    • Thanks for listening Gilda. David is definitely charismatic. It is quite refreshing to hear the good and the bad of life since we know everything can´t be rosy all the time. Estonia does sound nice and l wouldn’t mind visiting either for a long weekend or something. Definitely check out his site, and you’ll see what l mean about a revival of The Office :-). Thanks for listening.

  2. He’s definitely the “glass is half full” type of person, isn’t he? That’s surely the best approach in life and even more important during these strange times that we’re experiencing. I sure hope that all his dreams will become reality sooner rather than later.

It was interesting hearing about Estonia, too. For some reason, I was doing hot research late last year about getting an e-residency there until I realized that I really don’t need it at the moment. It’s not like I’ll be traveling anytime soon. Plus, I do love warn and sunny weather. I did like to hear that Estonia is cheap, though, so e-residency, here I come! (just kidding)

    • Yes, he is. Great attitude to have for sure. It makes everything so much better l think in life. One of the reasons l enjoyed the interview because that is how l see things. Haha! I think you should move to Estonia, then l can visit! It’s fun to imagine all these places, even if it’s just for fun. You’re right, most people are not going anywhere anytime soon, but it’s still nice. Yeah, the weather doesn’t sound so great. Not for me either, my bones are liking the sun much better.
