Reverse culture shock was very worrying to me prior to our return trip to the U.S. Having been away for the last several years, I was afraid that we would have a hard time adjusting to a return back to the States.

Thankfully, it was not as bad as it could have been. The gods smiled upon us and made things easy. A lot of my relatives are extremely happy right now. I had been complaining a lot.
Aug 30, 2019 @ 9:40 AMWynwood walls Miami – one of our top highlights on our Miami visit.
A dedicated post to the amazing Wynwood District graffiti artwork. I’ve always wanted to share some more pictures from Miami, Florida. Get ready for an image heavy post of really awesome urban graffiti in the hip and colourful area known as the Wynwood District.
Graffiti Miami:
We had a chance to visit last year after our cruise to the Dominican Republic. We spent a few hours in the neighborhood walking around and taking pictures of the amazing body or work by artists from all over the world. A former warehouse district, the late Tony Goldman conceived the idea of revitalising the neighbourhood by transforming the buildings into “giant canvases and bring the greatest street art ever seen in one place”.

The intention was to make Wynwood become a place that people would gravitate to and therefore develop the pedestrian potential. I would say mission accomplished as the Wynwood Walls, and in fact the district has now become one of the must see places on any visit to Miami. We certainly enjoyed our time there. Here are some of our favourite murals from this colorful section of Miami.
If someone had told me l would like another place in America as much as l like Los Angeles, l would have laughed. “Not possible” would have been my answer. I would have had to eat my words though as we both really, really liked Miami.

We had never been, so it seemed like a good idea to spend some time there after our cruise to the Dominican Republic. Federico had a photo shoot scheduled during the week, so we figured we might as well discover more of this breezy city. Here are six impressive Miami Florida highlights and a bonus!
The bike bath on the Venice board walk is one of the many things to see in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles – our recent visit had me reminiscing about various places in this metropolis. You know that saying, you can’t go home again? Well, we went back to Los Angeles, a place l called home for twenty years (minus a month 🙂 ) and it felt good. It wasn’t just the part of seeing old friends and people l consider family, it was also the pleasure l took in being a tourist in what was once my backyard.

Los Angeles Travel Guide: the best places
Years ago, when friends would visit, l would drop them off at Universal or Venice Beach while l went to work, never fully enjoying things that Los Angeles had to offer. After a while, everywhere just becomes home, and you fail to see the beauty anymore. The traffic sucks, so a drive to the beach has you thinking if you want to deal with the 2 way or longer each way traffic. It was nice to visit at our own leisure this time. It made me appreciate Los Angeles a bit more. Here are five iconic destinations that should be included in any L.A trip itinerary.
